Booking Deposit
A deposit is required within two weeks of the booking to confirm hire. Full payment is required six weeks prior to departure, and two months prior on peak periods.
Cancellation Fee
There is a cancellation fee of $300 (Mesmerized $600) for all cancelled bookings. If the cancellation occurs within six weeks prior to the departure, the $300/$600 deposit will not be refunded. * If a hire is rebooked a refund of $150 will occur.
Bond
Bond is payable before boarding and will be refunded if houseboat is returned in good, clean condition (or an extra cleaning charge will apply). Fuel used is an extra cost. Running charges vary per boat - calculated on litres consumed or hourly running charge. Bond, less expenses (running charges/damage) will be returned by post within 10 working days.
Hire Period
Weekend Fri 2pm-Mon 9am, Midweek Mon 2pm-Fri 9am, Week Fri 2pm-Fri 9am OR Mon 2pm-Mon 9am, Long Weekend Fri 2pm-Tues 9am. Hire commences at 2:00pm and the boat MUST be vacated by 9:00am on departure day.
Early Arrivals
You may board before 2:00pm ONLY if you have made arrangements with management.
Late Arrivals
Arrivals after 5:00pm have to wait until 9:00am the following morning for tuition. Prior notice would be greatly appreciated.
Boat Condition
We agree to have the boat, motors and accessories in good working order. We will not be obligated to compensate the hirer for loss of time due to mechanical problems during the hire period. The hirer pays for any loss or damage at replacement value.
School Holiday
Minimum of seven nights hire (except where public holiday falls on weekend).
Fuel
Boats are full of fuel at commencement of hire and refueled at completion of hire. Fuel is an additional charge.
Drivers
Anyone who drives the boat must be 21 years of age or over, and must hold a current drivers licence or boat licence. We reserve the right to refuse any person/s the hire of a houseboat. Houseboats must NOT be sriven at night.
Credit Cards
Will be accepted for Booking Deposits, however a 2% surcharge will apply for Balance of Hire payments.
Supplied with Hire
Sheets, pillow cases, towels, tea towels, bathmat, quilts / blankets, pillows, dishwashing liquid / powder, creme cleanser, disinfectant, crockery, cutlery, saucepans, basic first aid kit, six rolls of toilet paper, garbage bags, pegs, rainwater.
No Pets, firearms, fireworks, axes or trailbikes allowed on board the houseboat.
The Houseboat
Must be returned in good, clean condition or extra cleaning charge will apply.
Car Garaging
Cars may be left near site. (Chain - mesh compound).
