Waikerie is situated on the River Murray
half way between Adelaide and Mildura (approx.175kms, 1.5 - 2hour
drive).The township has a population of about 5000
and is commonly called the 'Gateway to the Riverland'. Citrus and
grapes are grown in the area. For groceries, the town is serviced
by a large Woolworths and a Foodland store, as well as 2 liquor
shops.
